BRUNSWICK

A Brunswick woman was taken to a local hospital Wednesday morning after a two-vehicle crash at the Bath Road intersection by the entrance to Lowe’s.

A 1998 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by Gordon Austin, 43, of Harpswell was leaving the Lowe’s driveway with a green light, Brunswick police Lt. Tom Garrepy said, when it was struck on the driver’s side by a 2007 Ford sedan driven by 74-year-old Shirley Comeau of Brunswick, who allegedly failed to stop for a red light.

Comeau was transported to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, where she was treated and released for minor injuries, according to a hospital spokesman.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene of the crash, reported at 9 a.m.

No charges were issued.
