HARPSWELL — The Cumberland County Sheriff ’s Department is investigating a crash reported early Friday on Harpswell Islands Road near Stevens Corner Road.
Deputy Jay Ward said he was called to the single-vehicle crash at 7:26 a.m. that involved an older Chevrolet sport utility vehicle driven by 21-year-old Wesley Clermont.
Ward said Clermont was not injured. There was substantial damage to the SUV. The case is still under investigation, Ward said. Orr’s and Bailey Island Fire Department and Rescue also responded to the incident.
