The open house for the Jason Dunham Division of the Naval Sea Cadet Corps is scheduled 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Winter Street Center, 880 Washington St.
The Corps is a federally chartered training organization for youths age 10 to 17 who train with the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Coast Guard and other military organizations.
Established in 1958, the Corps supports a drug-, alcohol, and gang-free lifestyle with emphasis on leadership and community involvement, according to a news release, with leadership training, maritime skills, aviation training, physical fitness programs and foreign exchanges with more than 15 nations.
