BATH — On Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 6:30 p.m., Patten Free Library, 33 Summer St., will screen holiday favorite “Forrest Gump.”
The film won six Oscars in 1995, including Best Actor (Tom Hanks), Best Picture, and Best Director (Robert Zemeckis). Robin Wright and Gary Sinise co-star.
“Forrest Gump” is the movie triumph that became a phenomenon. Hanks gives an astonishing performance as Forrest, an everyman whose simple innocence comes to embody a generation. While not intelligent, Forrest has accidentally been present at many historic moments, but his true love, Jenny, eludes him.
For the four weeks from Nov. 27 to Dec. 18, any donations collected at the Tuesday night film series will be given to the Bath Area Food Bank.
