BRUNSWICK — A forum for parents and elementary school-aged students regarding Internet safety and “cyber-bullying” will be offered at St. John’s Catholic School on Wednesday.
Dennis Pelletier, technology teacher at the school, 37 Pleasant St., will give parents and children resources to use, whether they are the ones being bullied or doing it. Although the focus will be on kids aged 5 to 14, the presentation will touch on the risks of unsupervised browsing and the social media habits of all minors.
The session is scheduled for 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the secondfloor computer lab. For more information, call 725-5507.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
