To the Editor:
I am a Democrat who is voting for Fred Horch, Green Independent for District 66.
Fred is committed to seeking the funding needed for our schools, and he will work tirelessly with others in the next legislature to turn the citizen referendum requiring the state to fund 55 percent of the cost of public education from a political aspiration to actual policy. With three children attending the Brunswick public schools, Fred is very clear on the current opportunities and challenges in our schools and is deeply invested in the future. Fred is a progressive, independent voice for education. He will be highly effective in representing the best interests of all our children in Augusta.
