To the Editor:

Disabled American Veterans’ fundraising campaign for 2012 was a tremendous success, one which far exceeded our expectations. Despite the sad state of our local economy and the loss of the Brunswick Naval Air Station, the people of Mid-coast Maine have come through for us once again.

As always, 100 percent of the proceeds will be spent in Maine to better the lives of Maine’s disabled veterans.

For their generous and patriotic assistance, we would like to extend our thanks to the management and staff of Shaw’s Supermarket in Bath, and for the kind generosity of their patrons.
