WELLS — Ashley Richardson picked up all three goals as the Freeport High School girls soccer team improved to 5-5 with a 3-1 Western Maine Conference victory over Wells on Monday.
Emily Morang and Brooke Heathco chipped in an assist each as the Falcons jumped out to a 3-0 lead over the 1-5-1 Warriors, who received their goal from Reilly Boyle late in regulation.
Aubrey Pennell had five saves in the win, while Wells netminder
Kaitlyn Tufts had 10 stops.
Freeport is slated to host Yarmouth (2-5-2) today at 3:30 p.m.

The host Wolverines scored two goals in each half en route to a Mountain Valley Conference win.
Wiscasset, 8-3-1 and off for the next eight days before hosting Oak Hill Oct. 9, received two goals from Maeve Carlson and a goal each from Kasey Cromwell and Miranda McIntire. Shania Marr and Alecia Faulkingham picked up one assist apiece.
“We will take a day off and get in some good practices this week, with Oak Hill a tough Class B school and our finale with Hall-Dale (Oct. 11), another tough team,” said Wiscasset coach Duane Goud of his team’s break.
The Wolverines outshot Winthrop (0-10-1) 22-0. Wiscasset netminder Kayla Gordon picked up her fifth shutout.
