ORONO (AP) — Maine’s Lobster Institute is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
The lobster research and educational organization at the University of Maine is holding an exhibition today showcasing more than 20 poster presentations and displays that feature highlights of lobster research over the past 25 years. The showcase is being held at the university’s Memorial Union in Orono.
The celebration continues tonight with an awards ceremony and dinner at UMaine.
The Lobster Institute was founded in 1987 as a nonprofit organization with the aim of sustaining a viable lobster fishery.
