FREEPORT — Freeport High School blanked Waynflete 3-0 in Western Maine Conference field hockey action on Friday.
Dayze Gaulin scored the first goal from Korissa Lavers in the middle of the first half.
Hannah Williams scored the second goal for Freeport (1-1 and scheduled to visit Sacopee Valley today) with 10 minutes left in the game, and Olivia Bubar scored off a penalty corner with a minute remaining in the game.
Waynflete goalie Katherine Torrey totaled 10 saves, and Freeport goalie Tallie Martin had four saves.
Freeport midfielders Abigail Smith and Megan Peacock both had strong performances.

In season-opening Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B play on Friday, Morse lost to host Waterville.
Goals were scored by Jena Nawfel (4) and Gaby Nridger (2).
Waterville goaltender Val Spaulding had seven saves, while Bryanna Ringrose of Morse had 10 saves.
For the 0-1 Shipbuilders (scheduled to host MCI today), Aysia McCloud played well on offense, while Anita Doughty and Jasmine Thibodeau were defensive standouts.
