HOLLY PAUL and her daughter, Jean, 7, braved the rainy weather Aug. 16 and arrived at the new Woolwich school to sign Jean up for her second grade classes. When Jean heard there was a “life skills classroom” complete with a stove, refrigerator and washer/dryer she jumped up and down in anticipation of one day being able to take cooking classes in the new school complex. Her favorite subject has always been science. The teachers and staff, like Courtney Culley, at right, are finalizing details in preparation for the first day of classes on Sept. 4. An open house is scheduled Tuesday at 6 p.m.
