BATH — Congresswoman Chellie Pingree’s office is holding staff office hours on Wednesday, Aug. 29, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Patten Free Library, 33 Summer St.
A news release describes the office hours as follows:
Everyone knows to contact their member of Congress to give their opinion about an upcoming piece of legislation, but citizens can also call them when they need help with a federal issue.
Congresswoman Chellie Pingree has several constituent services representatives who assist people with programs like Social Security, the IRS, housing, veterans benefits, healthcare, Medicare, and more. The office can provide resources, act as a liason between citizens and agencies, and sometimes get agencies to expedite their review of a case.
