WOOLWICH
A vehicle hit another vehicle Wednesday as it attempted to drive into the Taste of Maine restaurant’s parking lot on Route 1, according to the Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Department.
The crash was reported at 4:58 p.m. Wednesday. Chief Deputy Brett Strout said a 1994 Dodge Caravan driven by Beth Carsrud of Bath was in the parking lot of Taste of Maine waiting to pull out onto Route 1. Strout said Dianne McDougal, 43, of Bath, turned off Route 1 into the parking lot while driving a 2000 Mazda pickup truck too fast, and struck Carsrud.
The Mazda sustained about $1,000 damage and the van sustained about $2,000 in damage and was towed away.
Strout said Thursday that no one was injured and no charges were issued. Sgt. Greg Siegel is investigating the incident.
