Main Street Bath has announced the winners of the float contest for the 2012 Bath Heritage Days Parade.

The theme of this year’s parade was “Life Along the Kennebec: A Celebration of Maine’s Maritime History.”

Awards are as follows:

Spirit of the Sea Award: First Mate Pet Grooming

Maestro(s) of Music Award: Maine Public Safety Pipe and Drum Corps (adults) and Phippsburg/St. John’s school band (children)

THE MAINE PUBLIC SAFETY PIPE AND DRUM CORPS copped a music award for its participation in the 2012 Bath Heritage Days Parade on the Fourth of July. Winners can pick up their certificates at the Main Street Bath office, 15 Commercial St., Bath, during business hours Mondays through Fridays.
