
Main Street Bath has announced the winners of the float contest for the 2012 Bath Heritage Days Parade.
The theme of this year’s parade was “Life Along the Kennebec: A Celebration of Maine’s Maritime History.”
Awards are as follows:
Spirit of the Sea Award: First Mate Pet Grooming
Maestro(s) of Music Award: Maine Public Safety Pipe and Drum Corps (adults) and Phippsburg/St. John’s school band (children)

Float Along the Kennebec Award: Woodworks and Waterfalls
Red, White and Blue Award: Wounded Heroes Program of Maine: Warrior Legacy
Fleet Feet Award (entries on foot): Hall’s Martial Arts Center
Red, White and Bath Award (best theme interpretation): Bath Iron Works
Judges Choice Award (best overall entry): The Children’s Schoolhouse
The Admiral’s Award: USS Michael Murphy crew; Kids and Pets on Parade
Creatures of the Sea Award: The Taste of Maine Restaurant and Lobsta’
Kids Along the Kennebec Award: Dot’s Ice Cream Shop
Steering Into Tomorrow Award: Morse High School football team and cheering squad
