PHIPPSBURG
Phippsburg police seek assistance from potential witnesses after Percy’s Store and Spinney’s Restaurant were broken in to overnight Wednesday.
Some time between 11 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday, intruders cut a screen and forced open a window at Percy’s on Popham Beach, Phippsburg Police Chief John Skroski said today.
The burglar or burglars absconded with an undisclosed amount of cash and possibly other items.
Just next door, someone forced entry into Spinney’s, although Skroski said it’s not yet clear what was taken.
Reports that people were on the beach late Wednesday night prompted Skroski to ask that potential witnesses contact him at 841-9548.
