THE PHIPPSBURG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GARDEN CLUB recently dedicated its new fruit and vegetable A-Mazing PES Kids’ Garden with Thanks Yous to local families, businesses and school personnel who donated time and materials, an excavator, rototiller and truckfuls of sawdust, sand and compost. Students offered stories of their experiences with donors and volunteers that made the garden possible. The ceremony was completed when all the classes in the school received cups full of dirt and worms to add to the garden, according to Carol Emerson. At right are thank-you signs the students made and posted.
