LISBON — The Lisbon Recreation Department and the Moxie Festival Committee plan to bring back the Moxie Car Show after a more than 10-year hiatus to the Moxie Festival weekend. Proceeds will benefit the Sunshine Hill Neighbor’s Senior Citizen Program.
Applications for the 2012 Moxie Car Show, which will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., are now available. An entry fee of $10 for a driver and passenger will be charged.
The Moxie Car Show will take place in the fields behind Lisbon High School. Admission costs $5 for adults or $3 for children 12 to 17 years old. Children younger than 12 will be admitted free.
The car classes include antiques, special interest, street rods, Camaros, Corvettes, Mustangs, Mopars, motorcycles, tuner cars, twowheel and four-wheel trucks, best of each decade from the 1950s through the 1990s and more.
All entries will receive a souvenir dash plate.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
