HOULTON (AP) — A Maine man convicted of killing two adults and a 10-year-old boy is about to learn how long he’ll spend behind bars.

Thayne Ormsby is scheduled to be sentenced today in Aroostook County Superior Court in Houlton. He faces 25 years to life on each count.

Prosecutors are expected to seek a life sentence.

Ormsby was convicted in April of three counts of murder in the 2010 stabbing deaths of 55-year-old Jeffrey Ryan, his 10-year-old son, Jesse, and family friend Jason Dehahn at Ryan’s home in the small northern Maine town of Amity.
