BANGOR (AP) — A transient accused of stabbing a Bangor convenience store clerk has been ordered held on $100,000 bail.

A District Court judge on Wednesday ruled there was probable cause to charge Danny Bolden Jr. with elevated aggravated assault.

The 23-year-old Bolden appeared via teleconference at the Penobscot Judicial Center.

The Bangor Daily News reports that the judge said he set high bail because Bolden has two prior robbery convictions.

Police say Bolden stabbed a 69-year-old employee of Leadbetter’s Mini Stop in the back on Monday morning as the victim was walking home from work.
