MANCHESTER, N.H. —Brett Cecil, Danny Farquhar and Ronald Uviedo combined to no-hit the Portland Sea Dogs, as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats opened the four-game series with a 6-0 Eastern League victory at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
Cecil allowed three walks and struck out eight in 5.2 innings. Farquhar pitched 2.1 innings of hitless relief, with Uviedo pitching a 1-2-3 ninth to complete the nohitter. The teams are slated to play the second game of the series tonight at 7:05 p.m.
