TOPSHAM — The Planning Board will hold two public hearings tonight, one regarding draft revisions to the zoning ordinance regarding the sale of consumer fireworks.
Selectmen have decided to send three options each regarding the sale of fireworks and the use of consumer fireworks to voters in a town- wide referendum on June 12. This will give voters the option prohibit, regulate or do nothing and follow the state regulations in place, for both sale and use of fireworks.
The Planning Board also will hold a hearing tonight on a proposed amendment to Sandy Acres Subdivision submitted by Bruce Healy of 17 Roman Road, to create a lot off Roman Road (Tax Map R08, Lots 21, 21C, 24).
The Planning Board also plans to convene a workshop on conditional use permits.
