BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department is scheduled to host girls fifth-grade and sixth- grade basketball tournaments over the weekend.
The 11- team, sixth- grade event kicks off Friday at 4:30 p. m. with Bath/ Yarmouth, followed by Rockland/ St. John’s Thunder at 5:45 p.m., Ararat/Medomak Valley at 7 p.m. and EtnaDixmont/Gray- New Gloucester at 8 p.m.
On Saturday at 9 a.m., Pittsfield and Brunswick meet, followed by St. George versus the Ararat/Medomak winner at 11:30 a.m.
The championship game is set for 3 p.m. on Sunday.
The five-team fifth-grade tournament gets under way Saturday at 7 p.m. with Windham/ Rockland, followed by Boothbay/ Brunswick at 8 p.m.
Cumberland meets the Windham/Rockland winner at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday with the title game set for 12: 45 p.m.
