BRUNSWICK
It has been two years since Maine Pines Racquet & Fitness, located at 120 Harpswell Road in Brunswick, and the Healthways SilverSneakers Fitness Program joined forces to provide area older adults with the tools they need to live active, independent lives.
Maine Pines plans to mark the milestone anniversary by hosting a reunion open house on Wednesday in honor of its original and current Silver- Sneakers members.
Individuals interested in learning more about the fitness program or joining SilverSneakers are invited to participate in the festivities from 11 a. m. to 3 p. m. The day’s events will include light refreshments, prizes, raffles and chair massage, as well as 20-minute classes for muscular strength and range of movement, cardio circuit and yoga stretch.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
