TOPSHAM — The Morse High School girls jayvee lacrosse squad split a pair of games recently, moving its record to 5-3 on the season.

In the first game against Mt. Ararat, the Shipbuilders controlled the draw but didn’t finish enough chances as the Eagles pulled away in the second half for an 8-5 win.

Zoe Sreden netted a hat trick for Morse, with Abbie Baker and Marija Medencia each notching a goal and assist. Sophie Wilson and Reannan Larmon split time in the cage, while Rylee Capparatto had an all-around game.

The second game against Lincoln Academy saw much more production for the Shipbuilders, who won with ease, 11-2.

Medencia led the way with four goals and two assists, while Sydney Moore scored three and Sreden two. Lauren Boubel and Abby Marston rounded out the scoring, and Emma Roth- Wells dished out an assist.

Abby Sreden and Larmon held Lincoln Academy scoreless in the second half, and Roth-Wells earned all-around honors.
