Thornton Oaks Retirement Community presents “Images of a Lifetime; 90 Years and Counting” an exhibit by photojournalist, Robert Freson.
The exhibit opening is Oct. 4 at 4p.m. Freson will discuss his work and respond to questions.
Freson was born in Belgium in 1926. He studied at the College St. Pierre in Brussels until 1944 during the German Occupation of World War II. He later attended l’Ecole des Arts et Metiers in Vevey, Switzerland where he studied for three years and received a masters degree in Photography.
Freson immigrated to the United States in 1948 and became a citizen in 1952. His first job was in New York working with the late Irving Penn in the field of photojournalism. Over the course of his career he has earned numerous international awards for his work.
The public is invited to attend this free event.
