BIDDEFORD — Senior forward Reid Christian of Pownal posted career-highs with 30 points and 12 boards to lead Bates College to a 74- 54 victory over the University of New England men’s basketball team in non-conference action Tuesday evening at James A. Beaudry Gymnasium.
The win ended a two-game skid for the 6- 4 Bobcats, while UNE remains winless in nine outings.
Christian accounted for half of his team’s offense in the final period, scoring 20 points — the majority coming on a trio of makes from long distance and seven freebies. For the game, he converted 10 of 12 tries at the charity stripe.
