ROUND POND — Castlebay, Fred Gosbee and Julia Lane, will perform at 7:30 p.m. on June 27 at the Little Brown Church on Route 32. The duo plays Celticinspired maritime folk songs.
“Having loved, sung and researched folk music since childhood, they continue to explore the Scots and Irish origins of their native Maine music, particularly the songs and ballads, and are actively researching old manuscripts and recordings,” a release about the show states. “Lane and Gosbee regularly exchange lore and information with folklorists and musicians from Australia to Ireland. As a result, the duo blends history, legend and experience into their personable performance style.”
Doors open at 7 p.m., and audience members are advised to bring a cushion for the wooden pews. Admission is by $10 donation. Children get in free.
