BRUNSWICK — After a struggle with various illnesses and a valiant fight, Pat Knoll, just shy of her 90th year, passed away on August 8th at her home at Sunnybrook Village in Brunswick.

She will be remembered for her feisty, curious, nature-loving, enthusiastic and fiercely independent personality. She was born in Danvers, MA, one of the daughters of the town Doctor. She often recalled her father’s devotion to taking care of TB patients. She carried that tradition forward by being actively engaged in her own adult life in the Civil Rights and Peace movement, AIDS activism and Liberal Politics.

Many thanks are due to the very compassionate care she received at the end of her life at Sunnybrook Village, Neighbors, Inc. and by her long time doctor, Dr. David Hill.

She is survived by her daughter Heidi Knoll, son-inlaw Robert Muller, grandson Lucas Muller and her sister, Eleanor Blair. Patricia’s beloved son Christopher, died in 1989.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, August 12th at 9:30 a.m. at Griffith Head, at Reid State Park, Georgetown. For further details please contact Heidi at RMHK1127@yahoo.com
