BRUNSWICK

Brunswick police arrested five people stemming from three incidents this weekend involving domestic violence, assault and fighting in the street.

Officers were first called to Union Street on Saturday at 2:50 p.m. where Deputy Chief Marc Hagan said there had been an altercation involving Jeffrey R. Dolloff, 55, of 832 Lewiston Road in Topsham, and another man. Dolloff was arrested on a West Bath District

Court warrant for failure to appear and also charged with violating condition of release. He was given a court date of Nov. 6.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. Saturday, police were called to Dunning Street for a report of 12 people fighting in the street. Hagan said the incident involved an altercation between David Wilson Jr., 18, of 315 Harpswell Neck Road, Harpswell, and a 33-year-old female. Hagan said one account states Ryan Elwell, 26, of 24 Dunning St., jumped into the fight next, whereas Elwell stated he was attacked when he came outside the apartment building. Hagan said at one point, David Wilson Sr., 40, got involved in the fight during which time his ear was injured.

He was taken to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick and treated and released. The accounts of all involved differ, Hagan said, and added that alcohol played a big role in this incident.

David Wilson Jr. was issued a summons for disorderly conduct and a minor possessing liquor, Hagan said. Elwell was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and possession of marijuana and later released. Issued a summons for disorderly conduct was 46-year-old Tami Lane of 84 Union St., Apt. 1.

Sunday at 5:18 p.m., police responded to Long Street where a Richmond man was reported to have had an altercation with his wife, Hagan said. Police arrested Sean Paul Barker, 26, of 585 Langdon Road in Richmond and charged him with domestic violence assault, criminal threatening and sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

Barker had allegedly held a knife while threatening the woman during the encounter, struck her several times and allegedly choked and kicked her. She was able to break away before police arrived and she fled to another residence. Hagan said witnesses to the incident include a 2-year-old girl and 6-year-old boy.

Barker was transported to Cumberland County Jail and bail was set at $1,000.
