MURFREESBORO, TN — Mr. Erwin Alton Cole, age 72, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at his residence. Mr. Cole was a son of the late Charles Monroe Jr. and Ruth Bailey Cole. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Monroe Cole. He was a 1965 graduate of MTSU with a B.S. in accounting and was an avid bass fisherman. Mr. Cole was the owner of Erwin Cole Enterprises and A Space Mini Storage in Murfreesboro.
Mr. Cole is survived by his wife of 50 years, Martha Cole; two children, Charles Cole and Carrie Groce and her husband Chris, all of Murfreesboro; two grandchildren, Olivia and Garrison Groce; and one sister, Marcia Burney and her husband Jim of South Harpswell, Maine.
Visitation with the family will be Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bro. Owen Ivery will officiate. Burial will follow in Republican Grove Cemetery in Murfreesboro.
