BATH — As part of its “On the Road” summer film festival, Patten Free Library will screen “The Motorcycle Diaries” on July 9 at 6:30 p.m.
Based on a true life story, “The Motorcycle Diaries” traces the youthful origins of a revolutionary spirit. The film follows two daring friends, Ernesto “Che” Guevara (Gael Garcia Bernal) and Alberto Granado (Rodrigo de la Serna), who hop on the back of a beat-up motorcycle for a breathtaking and exciting road trip across Latin America.
The film was executive produced by Robert Redford and directed by Walter Salles.
This summer’s film festival features some of the best road movies of all time including “Thelma & Louise,” “Road to Morocco,” “Midnight Run” and “The Blues Brothers.” The series runs Tuesday evenings through Oct. 29. Show time for all screenings is 6:30 p.m. in the library’s airconditioned community room. All movies are free and open to the public. Refreshments are provided.
