HARPSWELL — Ocean Waves Quilters will present its 19th annual Quilt Show July 12-14 at the Orr’s Island Schoolhouse.
Show hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are graciously accepted.
Ocean Waves Quilters will give a donation to Island Community Church on Bailey Island where the group meets weekly.
The show will include members’ quilts of all sizes. A special quilt will be on display that was made to benefit the Islands Community Church’s handicapped access fund drive. It was designed by Debbie Caffrey and assembled and quilted by members of the group. Raffle tickets will be on sale at the show.
Ocean Waves Quilters is a chapter of the Pine Tree Quilters Guild of Maine. Members include quilters from Harpswell. Topsham, Brunswick, Arrowsic and Phippsburg. In the summer, quilters join from Arizona, New Hampshire, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Anyone interested in quilting is invited to visit weekly meetings at the Islands Community Church, Route 24, Bailey Island, at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesdays.
