BRUNSWICK — Three members of the Bowdoin College men’s lacrosse team were honored in All-NESCAC awards handed out on Thursday.
Seniors Matthew Crowell and Parker Sessions were named as First Team selections, while junior Sam Carlin was named as a Second Team selection.
Crowell earned the third All-NESCAC honor of his career. A Second Team selection in 2016, the senior is on the First Team for the second consecutive season. Crowell finished tied for the team lead in goals (25) and has 30 points for the Polar Bears.
Sessions earned his third All-NESCAC honor his career and moves up to the First Team as a senior. He was a Second Team honoree in both 2016 and 2017. Sessions led the Polar Bears in caused turnovers (17) and ranked fourth on the team with 24 ground balls.
Carlin collected his first postseason award following a fantastic year on the faceoff dot for Bowdoin. He won 197- of-327 faceoffs this spring (.602), collected a league-best 122 ground balls and netted four goals, including a last-second game-winner at Bates.
Bowdoin ended its season with a record of 8-7.
