BOWDOINHAM — Nomination papers became available Monday for two positions open on the Board of Selectmen, both with three-year terms, as well as for one school board member position for a three-year term.
The nomination papers must include at least 25 signatures of registered Bowdoinham voters to gain placement on the ballot. Papers must be returned to the town office and filed with the town clerk by Monday, Sept. 23 at 4 p.m.
The expiring terms on the Board of Selectmen belong to Doug Tourtelotte and Kathy Tome, said Bowdoinham Town Clerk Pam Ross. The term on the School Administrative District 75 Board of Directors belonging to Laurel Lopez will expire in November.
The municipal election is Tuesday, Nov. 5.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
