Bath Savings Institution was recently named one of Maine’s Best Places to Work for the fifth year in a row.

Best Places to Work in ME is a program that was created in 2006 to foster business growth and excellence throughout the state.

The recognition, given by the Society for Human Resource Management, highlights companies that cultivate outstanding workplaces, and benefit Maine’s economy, its workforce and businesses.

Bath Savings Institution is a local bank with nine locations from Damariscotta to South Portland. The bank’s financial professionals were surveyed as part of the Best Places to Work program. The assessment process, led by the Best Companies Group, evaluated each nominee’s workplace policies, practices and demographics, and measured employee experience.

“We are honored to be recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Maine,” said Glenn Hutchinson, bank president. “Our employees are positive individuals who enjoy helping others and take pride in their work. It is their attitude of exceptional service without exception that differentiates us from other financial institutions and delivers exceptional financial results. They are the reason Bath Savings is such a great place to work and bank.”

The SHRM is composed of Maine State Council and Best Companies Group. Partners endorsing the program include Mainebiz, the Maine State Chamber of Commerce and Maine HR Convention.
