BRUNSWICK
Do you really want to know what your teen is thinking? When it comes to “Voices in the Mirror,” The Theater Project promises you do.
The Theater Project is presenting the 22nd annual production of the show this weekend. Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.
Directed by Karin Baard, the show is created entirely by local high school students.
Part sketch comedy, part sarcastic observation, plenty of pop culture references and surprisingly more insight into serious issues than you’d expect, “Voices in the Mirror” is raw teenage expression in an orderly fashion at an utterly ridiculous level. Some call it Saturday Night Live by teens, some just call it the funniest thing they’ve seen all year. Whether it’s school stress, relationship anxiety, annoying parents or weird friends, the kids of “Voices” have an opinion on it, and it’s a good one.
“Voices in the Mirror” is recommended for audiences age 14 and up, due to occasional adult language and subject matter.
Tickets are pay-what-youwant, with a suggested price of $12 (but people can really pay what they want). They are available at (207) 729-8584 or theaterproject.com.
Located at 14 School St., The Theater Project is a nonprofit organization.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
