It will be a varied selection for the program presented by the Coastal Youth Orchestra during its spring concert next week.
The free concert will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Midcoast Presbyterian Church on Main Street.
CYO, directed by Nancy Roderick, was established in January 2002 and is comprised of two ensembles. The youth orchestra gives string students of every level a chance to play in a group with other children and to explore quality music.
The Fiddleheads, CYO’s youngest group, is a beginning string orchestra for young readers. The Coastal String Ensemble is an intermediate level string orchestra The group meets weekly in Topsham for rehearsals and performs two concerts a year as well as outreach programs.
