KENNEBUNK — National Library Week this year is April 8 to April 14 and to mark the occasion, the Kennebunk Free Library is celebrating its wonderful patrons.
Each time patrons come into the library during National Library Week, they will receive one free ticket for KFL’s annual book bundle raffle. KFL has a fabulous selection of book and DVD bundles – and patrons can enter to win their favorites.
KFL will also be offering fine discounts. There will be no fines on late items returned during National Library Week. Those who come into the library and pay half of their existing fines between April 8 and April 14, will have the remaining half waived. (This applies only to fines, not to lost or damaged items.)
If you’ve lost your library card or your keychain card is starting to disintegrate, National Library Week is the perfect time to replace it. KFL will be offering replacement cards free of charge for one week only.
This program is wheelchair accessible and the Kennebunk Free Library is at 112 Main St. in Kennebunk.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
You can read more here about our commenting policy and terms of use. More information is also found on our FAQs.
