Some of Russia’s best artists have focused their creative energy mastering printmaking — particularly etching — and the results are breathtaking, but hard to find in this country.
The Green Lion Gallery is collaborating with From Russia With Art Gallery in Cambridge, Massachusetts to help change that, by hosting a pop-up exhibition of etchings and other prints by some of Russia’s leading printmakers.
The event will take place from 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 30, and from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at the Green Lion, located at 104 Front St. Olesya and Jerry Koenig, principals of From Russia With Art, will be at the show on Saturday.

The Green Lion specializes in handmade fine art prints and features many artistic media, including an ongoing exhibition of the assemblages of Brunswick artist Mae Billington. For more information, call (207) 844-3770 or visit greenlionart.com.
