BRUNSWICK

Coming off a 10-day layoff without a game, Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse goaltender Cade Charron’s solid play early and often kept the host Eagles alive through a rough start in boys high school hockey on Tuesday at Sidney J. Watson Arena.

Charron’s performance allowed the Eagles time to find their offense, and two goals from Noah Austin gave the hosts a 3-1 victory over Massabesic/Old Orchard Beach/Bonny Eagle.

Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse improved to 7-8 and moved the Eagles into the sixth and final playoff spot in Class A North. The Eagles face Windham/Westbrook in Gorham Thursday at 3 p.m.

Tied 1-1, Austin gave the Eagles a 2-1 lead in the third period. He added an empty netter to finish off the 4-12 MOB. Austin has 21 goals and 17 assists.

Owen Kelly tied the game with a power-play goal, with Jacob Sargent picking up an assist.

Charron finished with 38 saves.

Brady Cormier had the lone MOB goal. Bryson Pomerleau had 17 saves in the cage.

Unified hoops

LISBON — Dawson Martel had 16 points to power Lisbon to a 59-28 win over Oxford Hills.

Cameron Segovia added 12 points, while Michael Farrington picked up 10.

Brandon Robare led the Vikings with 14 points.

The Greyhounds visit Gray-New Gloucester on Thursday.
