Springworks is an aquaponic farm located in Lisbon that produces organically grown lettuce for its local restaurant and retail customers. The company recently secured $1.6 million in capital to finance the creation and operation of a second greenhouse.

SPRINGWORKS GROWS 250,000 heads of lettuce annually in its greenhouse. Once the second greenhouse is up and running, it will be producing closer to 750,000 heads. Staff members work to ensure its two distributors and 30 retail customers get high-quality products.

THE UNIQUE SPACING OF ITS SYSTEM allows Springworks to grow plants faster and closer together. Because of this, the current greenhouse is 16 times more productive than a traditional farm.
