According to York County Sheriff William L. King Jr., deputies were called to a residence on Fairview Drive in Waterboro about 7:15 p.m. Saturday for a report of a domestic violence assault.
King wrote in a press release that upon arriving at the scene, deputies were told that Christopher Wing, 37, had assaulted two two individuals there.
“Evidence collected at the scene determined that assaults had occurred, but it was not determined why the assault had taken place,” King wrote.
Wing was arrested by deputies on two counts of domestic violence assault and is being held at the York County Jail in Alfred with a bail set at $1,000, or $500 for each assault charge.
King said Wing was arraigned on the charges Monday via video arraignment.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
