TURNER — The Mt. Ararat Middle School “A” team lost to Tripp Middle School, 1-0 in field hockey action.
Lexi Brillant made some excellent saves in goal to keep the score close, while backs Ella Davies, Taylor Morrell, Charlie Smith and Audrey Marchildon played strong defense. Megan Reed, Mira Rineer and Phoebe Fitzpatrick added support in the midfield and broke up many of Tripp’s attacks.
There were several breakaways into Tripp’s defensive end by speedy forwards Greta Marchildon, Jazzy Huntsman, Belle Hemond, Paige Witwicki and Paige Gagne.
Mt. Ararat’s next game is Monday at home against Oxford Hills.
