CASTINE — Maine Maritime Academy women’s soccer team defeated Thomas College, 5-1 on Tuesday night in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on Ritchie Field.
Sophomore Eryn Doiron put the Mariners on the board in the fifth minute on a pass from teammate Susana DeFrank.
The Terriers capitalized on a Maine Maritime turnover in front of the net, and broke the shutout just seconds later on a goal from Nikki Bradstreet, a former standout at Mt. Ararat High School.
Former Richmond High School standout Kelsea Anair added her second goal of the season on a ball passed into the box by Makayla Lewis in the 60th minute.
Wiscasset native Kayla Gordon tallied seven saves for Thomas.
The Mariners improved to 2-5 overall and 1-1 in the NAC, while the Terriers fell to 0-6 on the season and 0-2 in conference play.
Maine Maritime returns to action this Saturday when its travel to New England College for an 11 a.m. matchup.
