DURHAM — After blessing the lives of her family and so many others, Delanie Norah Doran, 7, of Durham, ME. passed away in the company of her family in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin on August 25, 2017. A miraculous fighter from a very early age, “Lanie” overcame enormous odds in her short time here, leaving a lasting impression on all of those privileged to have known her.

She was born on January 14, 2010 in Waimea, Hawaii to her adoring parents Noah and Andrea. Her family relocated to Maine in May 2011, which allowed Lanie to attend the amazing Morrison Center in Scarborough, Maine beginning in 2013. Lanie enjoyed music, swimming, traveling, being outdoors and spending time with her parents and little brother Greyson.

Lanie was predeceased by her great-grandmother Claire Langelier; her grandfathers Greg Doran and Steve Hughes; and her great aunts Diane Wells and Venise Pratt.

She is survived by her parents, Noah Doran and Andrea Goulet, along with brother Greyson Doran of Durham, Maine; grandmother Bobbe Doran of Honokaa, Hawaii; grandmother Diane Hughes of Brunswick, Maine; grandfather Gerald Goulet of Lewiston, Maine; grandmother Penney Hughes of Fort Worth, Texas; great-grandmother Julie Weisel of Salina, Kansas; great-grandparents Robert and Shirley Harruff of Pewuakee, Wisconsin; Nel Langelier of Port St. Lucie, Florida, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A mass of Christian burial to honor Delanie will take place on Monday September 18, 2017 at 11:00am at the All Saints Parish – St. John Church in Brunswick, Maine. A Celebration of Life will follow the ceremony at the Taste of Maine Restaurant in Woolwich, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Delanie’s honor towards a therapeutic swimming pool and made out to: The Morrison Center, 60 Chamberlain Road, Scarborough, ME 04074.
