MASSABESIC MUSTANGS

Coach’s outlook: We are looking to compete in every match, win some of the close ones we lost year, and get better as the big matches come at the end of our season.

Coach’s outlook: My outlook is positive. I mean, I have one senior and a junior, so I’ll expect a lot out of them to help lead our team. The rest of my players are sophomores and one freshman. The future of the program is looking bright.
THORNTON ACADEMY GOLDEN TROJANS
Coach: Jeff Camire
Last year’s record: 9-2 (7th in state tournament)
Key newcomers: Jan Berger
Key returners: Jordan Laplume, Jacob Laplume, Armand Ouellette, Matt Merrill and Eric Boucher
Key losses: None
Coach’s outlook: We have a very experienced team with a lot of depth, which will hopefully help us navigate a very difficult division. Senior captain Jordan Laplume enters her fourth year in the varsity lineup and brings great experience and maturity to the team. Sophomore Armand Ouellette has continued to improve his game and looks to build on the success he had as a freshman. The goal is to find a way back to the state championship and hopefully play our best golf in October.
WELLS WARRIORS
Coach: Corey Leach
Last year’s record: 2-10
Key newcomers: Jonah Killem and Ashton Thibedaue
Key returners: Shane MacNiell, Megan Bradish, Andrew Niznick, Luke Reece, Charlie Oliver, James Lutrell.
Coach’s outlook: Settling in with many changes, we as a team are very excited for the upcoming season. Our goals are to become acclimated with the new home course at Old Marsh Country Club … to continue to improve our game both individually and as a whole, and to best represent our community with pride, academic and athletic excellence, and to carry on the tradition of what it means to be a Warrior.
