HARTFORD, Conn.

Juan Ciriaco’s three-run homer proved to be the difference as the Hartford Yard Goats (62-73) held on for a 4-3 Eastern League win over the Portland Sea Dogs (62-73) on Wednesday night at Dunkin Donuts Park.

Portland struck for a 1-0 lead in the first inning off winning pitcher Konner Wade (9-7). Michael Chavis hit a solo shot to left field, his 30th homer between Salem and Portland.

The Sea Dogs return to Hadlock Field in Portland on Friday for their final series of the season.
