He taught himself how to play guitar and was quite good at it. He was a songwriter with many different bands throughout his short life. He also enjoyed skateboarding, baseball and football. He had a talent for drawing. He was kind, funny, smart, loving and the best son a mother could ever want. He will be greatly missed. Our lives will be forever changed.
He leaves behind his mother, Lorna DeGroot and his step father Edward Densmore of Woolwich, his grandmother, Evelyn Coffin of Woolwich, his sister, Shana York of Phippsburg, his uncle Mark Coffin of OOB, and predeceased by his uncle Greg Coffin; a very good friend, Noah Rogers and Logan Preble of Brunswick; and his loving cats Terry and Scrambles.
A time of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, from 1:00 – 3:00pm at the David E. Desmond Funeral Home, 638 High Street, Bath.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
