BATH
The Mustard Seed Bookstore is Bath will host a “Where’s Waldo?” scavenger hunt July 5-30 to encourage children to read over the summer, and to shop locally.
Interested children of any age can pick up a Find Waldo Passport at the Mustard Seed, which gives information and lists the participating businesses in Bath.
The goal of the hunt is to find as many Waldo stand-ups as possible in the businesses listed in the passport. When Waldo is spotted, children can ask that store clerk to sign their passport. When 10 signatures are collected, participants can bring their passport back to The Mustard Seed for a Waldo button and a $1 off coupon toward a Waldo book in the store. Children with 20 or more signatures will also receive a button and coupon, but will also be entered in a drawing for a large “Where’s Waldo?” gift basket.
In addition to the stand-ups in stores, Bath’s own Joe Black will act as Waldo on random days throughout the month, walking through the city to encourage children to read.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
