TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat Middle School seventh grade baseball team defeated Tripp, 4-1, recently.
Pitchers Ty Henke and Cody Bowker were outstanding on the mound for the Eagles. Henke allowed one run in four innings and Bowker pitched three scoreless innings.
John Kinney broke a 1-1 tie in the fifth inning with an RBI single.
Ryan Robertson, Bowker and Jay Kearney had key hits for Mt. Ararat, and catcher Robertson was solid behind the plate, throwing out two Tripp base runners.
